Stormhouse ジ・エクスペリメント

Being generally well-written and interesting, it is a pretty solid claustrophobic story as an indie horror flick. Good dialogue, nice pace, and the effective ending. Considering the budget and likely time constraints they were under, we should understand some of the mediocre choices they made. Yet the acting was good, and it was obvious the talent was there.

Grabbers グラバーズ

This film is a nice example to show that we do not need a huge budget to deliver a first rate comedy-horror film with a witty script. The combination of CGI and practical are very effective and well done. Its overall concept and whimsical tale of alien creatures attacking the inhabitants of a small Irish village would provide laughs and scare in generous quantities reminding you of a certain movie with dinosaurs.
