A heartwarming and emotional story about a unique set of triplets, their struggles, and their wonderful parents. The acting is excellent and the script is well written. This looks like a comedy but in fact it has some profoundly dramatic moments.

The Dinner 冷たい晩餐

When Stan Lohman, played by Richard Gere（リチャード･ギア）, a popular congressman running for governor, invites his troubled younger brother and his wife to join him and his wife for dinner at one of the town's most fashionable restaurants, the stage is set for a tense night. While Stan and his brother have been estranged since childhood, their 16-year-old sons are friends, and the two of them have committed a horrible crime that has shocked the country. Lady Bird レディ･バード

In 2002, an artistically inclined seventeen-year-old girl comes of age in Sacramento, California. One of the biggest accomplishment in the film is the directing by Greta Gerwig（グレタ･ガーウィグ）, who debuted as a director with it. The performances are also superb, especially Saoirse Ronan（シアーシャ･ローナン）, who has been nominated for the Academy Award, is fantastic and brings such heart to the character of Lady Bird.

Fun in Japan にほんでの おたのしみ

"Fun in Japan" with my translation has been published this week. The author, being familiar with communal and educational activities and Bibliotherapy, leads projects and workshops integrated with art. She has written lots of artistic and educational books, and in this book, she shows us a story that recommends listening to kids’ ideas about fun places in Japan including kids’ actual drawings. I sincerely hope both children and adults will enjoy this adorable little gem both in English and Japanese.

I joined "Lecture Series Features Ms. Michiko Ishimure" held at my alma mater today, and enjoyed the lecture by Mr. Natsuki Ikezawa, an author also a translator, whose topics covered everything from literature to translation. I took a training course "Omotenashi Language Volunteers for Foreign Tourists" for 2020 Olympics hosted by Tokyo Metropolitan Government today. Many many thanks to such a wonderful opportunity. I received their registration card and badge, also applied for their city volunteer work. If you would also like to join them, looking forward to sharing some time with you. Hope we can do something which will become our life time memory eventually.

Kittens' story time おはなしこねこの会 2018.11

I joined "Kittens' story time", a read-aloud session hosted by "The Wildcat Translation Club of Children's Books" today, and was lucky enough to be able to read aloud some wonderful picture books in front of such adorable little book lovers at Junkudo Ikebukuro Honten children's books section, such a hear-warming and beautiful urban oasis in the middle of Tokyo. Many many thanks for such a wonderful opportunity. Good boys and girls who love picture books, please come and join us. They are holding their regular sessions every month at Junkudo Ikebukuro Honten and Maruzen Marunouchi Honten.
