ALC Translation Seminar アルク翻訳セミナー 2017.09

I joined ALC's translation seminar today and enjoyed such an informative and eye-opening lecture by Mr. Masao Tsuchiya, a prestigious translator of those famous authors such as Kazuo Ishiguro, Hemingway, Virginia Woolf, and so on. Thanks a lot for such a fruitful time. Wishing him and ALC and their members continued success and prosperity as well.

I would describe this film as powerful, honest, refreshing, thrilling, yet dreamy at the same time. It will cause you to think long and hard about your own relationships and loss. Very original and moving story with great casting, especially the way Naomi Watts（ナオミ･ワッツ）and Jake Gyllenhaal（ジェイク･ギレンホール）portray the characters is phenomenal.

Japan Publisher's Club Seminar 日本出版クラブセミナー 2017.09

I joined Japan Publisher's Club's seminar today. After such a passionate lecture by Ms. Yuko Matsuoka, famous as "Harry Potter" translator, we had such an enjoyable and fruitful time with some publishers, editors, and translators at their party. Thank you so much. Ms. Matsuoka's new books are being published continuously next month. Wishing "Yousho no Mori (Wood of foreign books)", which marks 10th anniversary this year, and their members continued success and prosperity as well.

Moonlight ムーンライト

One of the most heart-wrenching films which allows us to enter and follow a life that not so many have considered or experienced, I think. We might know some about poverty, queerness, masculinity, and blackness, but to see the conflict of all doesn't give us answers but simply present a narrative that we often don't see. Very simple and painful and beautiful movie.
