Brave メリダとおそろしの森

Another visual feast and a solid Pixar film. With its beautiful and moving new fairy tale, "Brave" fits seamlessly into this genre. It has everything fine Pixar films should have: a wonderful setting, fantastic CGI, beautiful and interesting characters, (Merida alone is such an interesting and adorable character) and a lot of heart. For some, this might not be Pixar's best, but it holds up to extremely high standards.

The Amazing Spiderman アメイジング・スパイダーマン

A reboot of the Spider-Man movie franchise. Tobey Maguire（トビー・マグワイア） is replaced by Andrew Garfield（アンドリュー・ガーフィールド） in the protagonist role of Peter Parker. His main love interest switches from Mary-Jane Watson to Gwen Stacy, and the villain in this installment is Dr Curt Connors aka Lizard. As expected, this reboot goes back to the beginning when Peter Parker becomes Spider-Man only it is told in a rather different way to the other volumes.

Family Reading Day 家庭読書の日

Setagaya Central Library is holding a lecture presentation on November 24th in commemoration of Setagaya Family Reading Days, which are the 23rd of each month. We Bought a Zoo 幸せへのキセキ

This is a beautiful movie, full of life, truthfully acted, beautifully shot, and lovingly directed by Cameron Crowe（キャメロン・クロウ）. You can expect to cry but it is also funny with levity coming just when you need it. Matt Damon（マット・デイモン） was brilliant as the heartbroken but hopeful father, and all the kids were brilliant. Anyone willing to open his or her heart will fall in love with this movie and will be glad to find there are still artists who are courageous enough to embrace it in this cynical world.
