High school reunion 高校同窓会

I joined my high school reunion held at Akihabara UDX today, and enjoyed meeting our 406 alumni, who have been successful in their own fields since graduation, while enjoying three lectures by our wonderful alumni, Mr. Hiroyuki Nemoto, a popular psychological counselor, and Mr. Makoto Sahara, a specialist in general medicine and cardiovascular internal medicine, also a fellow of American Heart Association, and Mr. Hideki Kojima, Chofu Community Beekeeping School principal. I also appreciated their carefully selected high-quality Japanese Sake at their fulfilling Sake section, and am really grateful for such a stimulating time. Wishing all of our alumni continued success and prosperity.
本日、秋葉原UDXで開催された高校同窓会へお邪魔いたしました。人気心理カウンセラー根本裕幸氏、総合内科専門医、循環器内科専門医、アメリカ心臓協会特別研究員の佐原真氏、調布コミュニティ養蜂スクール校長の児島秀樹氏という先輩お三方のすばらしい講演とともに、充実した日本酒振る舞いコーナーでは厳選された銘酒を堪能させていただきつつ、卒業後それぞれの道でご活躍中の総勢406名の同窓生の方々とお会いでき、非常に刺激的な時間を過ごさせていただき感謝申し上げます。同窓生の皆さまの今後の変わらぬご活躍、ご繁栄をお祈り申し上げます。

The author, being a math teacher for 35 years in high school, and a mother of four children and grandmother of five, has written a lot of books for which she has taken advantage of her years of experience as a teacher and her rich experience with her children and grandchildren, and this adorable gem conveys her message that we are all one, and there is a hidden treasure in each one of us, and those treasures are worthy of everyone's appreciation. "The Magic of Big Mammas" with my translation has been published this week. The author, being familiar with communal and educational activities and Bibliotherapy, leads projects and workshops integrated with art. She has written lots of artistic and educational books, and in this book, the readers can enjoy a Petit International Exchange seeing some Big-Mammas drawings (somebody who tells stories, inspires, or influences others) by the children who joined this project from Marom Elementary School, Ashdod, Israel, and Japan on the last page. I sincerely hope both children and adults will enjoy this adorable little gem both in English and Japanese.

Kittens' story time おはなしこねこの会 2019.06

I joined "Kittens' story time", a read-aloud session hosted by "The Wildcat Translation Club of Children's Books" today, and was lucky enough to be able to read aloud some wonderful picture books in front of such adorable little book lovers at Junkudo Ikebukuro Honten children's books section, such a hear-warming and beautiful urban oasis in the middle of Tokyo.
