Those picture books I translated have been available at Tsuda University Library. Many many thanks. Hope that the students and professors, especially the ones who are engaged in basic English or Japanese education, or the alumnae who are in the middle of child-raising will enjoy those books, and that the books will meet lots of new friends.

Who am I? Can you see? わたしが だれか わかる？

"Who am I? Can you see?" with my translation has been published this week. The author, being a math teacher for 35 years in high school, and a mother of four children and grandmother of five, has written a lot of books for which she has taken advantage of her years of experience as a teacher and her rich experience with her children and grandchildren, and this adorable gem conveys her message that we are all one, and there is a hidden treasure in each one of us, and those treasures are worthy of everyone's appreciation. I sincerely hope both children and adults will enjoy this book both in English and Japanese.
今週、翻訳いたしました『わたしが だれか わかる？』が出版されました。35年間、高校の数学教師として教鞭を取られてきた著者は、4児の母であり、5人の孫の祖母。長年の教師経験や子孫たちとの豊富な体験が活かされた作品が多く、本作では、人類みな同じ、それぞれが内に宝物を秘めた存在であり、その宝物はすべての人から大切にされる価値あるものだというメッセージが込められています。英語と日本語のバイリンガルで、子供も大人もお楽しみいただければ幸甚です。

Six years after the events of "Wreck-It Ralph," Ralph and Vanellope, now friends, discover a wi-fi router in their arcade, leading them into a new adventure. A wonderful, hilarious, creative refreshing sequel to the equally excellent original with so much to enjoy. The same lovable characters are back with another enjoyable adventure. Nice play of emotions as well.

The Grinch グリンチ

A grumpy Grinch plots to ruin Christmas for the village of Whoville. I enjoyed Jim Carey（ジム･キャリー）'s version but couldn't compare them. It is the classic story of The Grinch we all know so well, so it's sometimes predictable, still was a joy to watch. A heart-warming film with a slightly different take from the last film.

Japan announced new currency banknote designs today, and the founder of our alma mater, Ms. Umeko Tsuda, is being on the 5,000 yen note.

Kittens' story time おはなしこねこの会 2019.04

I joined "Kittens' story time", a read-aloud session hosted by "The Wildcat Translation Club of Children's Books" today, and was lucky enough to be able to read aloud some wonderful picture books in front of such adorable little book lovers at Junkudo Ikebukuro Honten children's books section, such a hear-warming and beautiful urban oasis in the middle of Tokyo. Many many thanks for such a wonderful opportunity. Good boys and girls who love picture books, please come and join us. They are holding their regular sessions every month at Junkudo Ikebukuro Honten and Maruzen Marunouchi Honten.
本日は「やまねこ翻訳クラブ」の読み聞かせ会「おはなしこねこの会」に参加いたしまして、ジュンク堂池袋本店の児童書フロアにて、可愛らしい絵本好きな子どもたちの前でステキな絵本を読ませていただきました。東京のど真ん中にこんなにも心温まる美しい都会のオアシスがあったのですね。すばらしい良縁をありがとうございます。絵本大好きっ子なよい子の皆さま、よかったら遊びにいらしてくださいね。ジュンク堂池袋本店と丸善丸ノ内本店にて毎月開催されてますよ。

Johnny English Strikes Again ジョニー･イングリッシュ アナログの逆襲

After a cyber-attack reveals the identity of all of the active undercover agents in Britain, Johnny English is forced to come out of retirement to find the mastermind hacker. Rowan Atkinson（ローワン･アトキンソン）'s fantastically silly performance works perfectly. We can enjoy watching him get into all sorts of ridiculous situations, which are entirely predictable and idiotic, but we will never get tired of watching him do the same thing over and over again.
