The Last Song ラストソング

I saw this movie mainly because it is based on a book by Nicholas Sparks(ニコラス・スパークス), who also wrote the wonderful “the Notebook(きみに読む物語)" and his adaptations were usually surprisingly good. "The Last Song" might be OK for some considering that it was a debut in a lot of ways. Julie Anne Robinson(ジュリー・アン・ロビンソン)'s directorial debut for feature films, Nicholas Spark’s writing debut for screenplays, and Miley Cyrus(マイリー・サイラス)'s acting debut as someone other than Hannah Montana. If you can excuse the sometimes cheesy moments and keep your mind open, you can have fun.

The Social Network ソーシャル・ネットワーク

It represents today's landscape, but I am a little scared of societies dominated by the internet and feel this world is approaching its end. But the film itself is amazing. David Fincher(デヴィッド・フィンチャー) did an excellent job as a director, and so did Jesse Eisenberg(ジェシー・アイゼンバーグ), who played Mark Zuckerberg(マーク・ザッカーバーグ), the youngest billionaire in history, whose success leads to both personal and legal complications. Still, I wish this was just a sci-fi movie.

Precious プレシャス

"Precious" is about an overweight black girl who has already had a child with Down's Syndrome from when she was raped by her father. Her mother constantly abuses her and she's already pregnant with her second baby. When she gets kicked out of school and is forced to go to an alternative school to help her get her GED, she realizes that there may actually be hope for her. Gabourey Sidibe(ガボレイ・シディベ)definitely deserves the Best Actress Oscar. Her performance was so real that you're just forced to sympathize with her. Other cast includes Lenny Kravitz(レニー・クラヴィッツ), Mariah Carey(マライア・キャリー), and Mo'Nique(モニーク)perform very well as well.

War Games: At the End of the Day ウォー・ゲーム

"War Games: At the End of the Day" was released on DVD with my translation in Japan today. The story is inspired by true events that took place in the winter of 1988, and it brings you in a journey of blood, mines, arrows, tortures, innocent deaths, but also love, brotherhood, passion, struggle for life. It's shot by a famous Italian music promos director, Cosimo Alema, and featuring an international cast of amazing actors (Stephanie Chapman-Baker, Neil Linpow, Sam Cohan, Valene Kane, Monika Mirga, Andrew Harwood Mills, Lutz Michael, Michael Schermi, Tom Stanley, Daniel Vivian, and so on...). I sincerely hope you will enjoy this very thrilling thriller.
