It's a witty and elegant story of the Oakland A's, a baseball team that had been almost bankrupt but managed to overcome adversity through intelligence and perseverance. Brad Pitt（ブラッド・ピット）plays Billy Beane, the team's general manager who didn't know at first what to do to lead the low-budget team to be successful. Then he met Pete Brand, played by Jonah Hill（ジョナ・ヒル）, an economic major from Yale University. Pete devises a formula that analyzes players and reveal statistics about players in a way nobody else does, which lead Billy and Pete stand up for what they believe is right. Such an inspiring and moving film using baseball as a backdrop for its deeper and more universal themes.
